Short trips to Cambridge and Edinburgh

I have to admit I’m guilty of staying within my comfort zone quite a bit. As a result, I haven’t traveled much since moving to the UK. However, trying to make a change, I have recently visited a friend in Cambridge and met up with another friend in Edinburgh, Scotland, both for a couple of days.

We mainly hung out and discussed PhD projects and ideas. I did take some pictures, though!

Same goes for Edinburgh, though we spent those days mostly discussing life in general, catching up and looking at nature and buildings. I, and sometimes we, have been walking around the city and today we visited both Dean Village and the Royal Botanic Garden of Edinburgh. It involved lots of walking too!

These short breaks were refreshing and now I’m more than ready to start working again and to be productive. Let the games begin!
